Job Title: Sr. Cognos Designer/Developer
Location: Washington. DC
Duration: 2 months w/option for additional time

 

Required Skills:

Must have exp 6-8 yrs exp BI Analysis  exp Information Delivery solution preferably ---Must have prior exp assisting in gathering, identifying & clarifying reporting requirements

• Design and Development in Cognos 8.3 / 8.4.1 versions using Metric Studio, Report Studio, Transformer, Powerplay, and Event Studio
• Design layout of reports and determine the best way to present data to end users.
• Create a prototype using Metric Studio based on selected Measures defined by the business team
• Create Cognos model using Framework Manager and produce Cognos packages.
• Write DB2 Stored procedures and Cognos SDK that are referenced within the reports.
• Participate in code reviews and use Clear Case to ensure weekly builds occur.
• Use clear quest to complete assigned task
• Participate and assist in development of deployment and release documents

Experience in Healthcare Payer industry is huge plus ex- (BCBS)

• Strong & working experience of Following Cognos Products:
• Strong & working experience of Cognos Metric Studio, Report Studio, Transformer, Powerplay, and Event Studio.
• Strong & working experience of Cognos Frame work manager.
• Stored Procedure using DB2. Knowledge of writing complicated yet efficient SQL for relational database is essential

Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator

Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project
