Job Title: Senior Business Analyst
Location: McLean, VA
Duration: 7+ Months
Job Description:
Senior Business Analyst to accomplish the following:
· Collaborate with business area to understand business needs, capture supporting requirements and resolve issues.
· Apply analysis, visual modeling and facilitation techniques such as interviewing and white boarding, flow charting to elicit and capture information from the business area and other project stakeholders as needed.
· Lead process modeling sessions and walk-throughs of requirement artifacts and communicate effectively with business, development and testing teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements.
· Strictly following standard Change Control process and associated use of ClearQuest and DOORS
· Develop business requirements document based on input from multiple business area perspectives
· Develop supplemental business process documents as needed to produce the business case, if required
· Provide expertise in completing Process Models, business Requirements and ensure consistency between those artifacts.
· Apply subject matter knowledge of current and future state to assess impacts related to changes, offer potential solutions and evaluate tradeoffs.
· Partner with supporting roles such as business SMEs, architects, data modelers, and development or technical leads to ensure that requirements are feasible and in alignment with corporate standards and long-term strategy.
· Work with Project Managers to plan requirements tasks, milestones and Level of Efforts in support of 85% confident estimates.
· Understand how to translate business requirements to a Traceability matrix for test strategy development and test execution planning
· Attend and support any communications work being done to ensure consistent messages and alignment with project changes
· Maintain an Issues/ Risk log and meet regularly with the PM to discuss
· Attend team meetings to review the Issues/Risks with the business
· Other tasks as assigned
Skill Level:
· Senior (7+ yrs)
Requirements:

· Must have strong communications and business analysis skills
· Some prior mortgage and servicing experience is desirable
· Strong Business Analyst skills include:
• experience gathering business
• aggregating information,
• analyzing current business processes
• documenting business requirements via using standard templates and tools
