Duration: 12 months contract
Job Description:
The Billing Analyst in Business Operations will manage daily billing operations and processes supporting Experian Consumer Service's various product lines and customers. Performs analysis of daily billing metrics to ensure accurate and timely billing across our different lines of business. He/she will be the initial contact for billing issues, receiving escalations from internal teams (e.g. Customer Service, Finance/Accounting, Marketing, Network Operations Center, Quality Assurance, Engineering) and external service providers relied upon to process payments. This role requires superior analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail. The person in this position must be a quick learner with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-driven environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage/oversee all activities related to customer billing and program processing
- Ensure accurate and timely processing through program monitoring, auditing and reconciling
- Design metrics and analytical methods to identify and solve business problems relating to billing and/or program processing activities
- Report and track performance of programs to senior management
- Manage internal and external SLAs
- Clearly define and document business processes
? Support company initiatives that effect billing and program processing activities
- Create and deliver requirements documents as expected
- Provide test cases, testing support and post launch validation of any system changes that impact billing and/or program processing activities
? Analyze the costs and benefits of system or process changes to enable the appropriate prioritization of opportunities
? Suggest effective strategies / innovations to improve performance of or reduce cost of billing and/or program processing activities
? Assist in triage of issues escalated by other internal/external teams as they relate to billing and/or program processing activities, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and impact analyses
? Escalate to Engineering teams as necessary, including documenting and opening of tickets for code / bug fixes
? Act as vendor liaison as it pertains to billing and program processing activities
? Work with the NOC to monitor all batch processing related to billing and program processing activities
Qualifications:
? Minimum of 2 years business, operational or financial analysis experience in the enterprise software industry, with a financial services company, or with an internet software company
? Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
? Candidate must be experienced in using data to generate quantitative and qualitative analysis
? Self-motivated, resourceful and possessing a high level of initiative
? Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines
? Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external teams at all levels
? Ability to succinctly report to management status on key initiatives and/or present recommendations to maximize operational performance and efficiency gains
? Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-driven environment
? Operational technology background or the aptitude to research and learn complex technologies and processes
? Flexible enough to work with different technical skill levels and skill sets
? Ability to establish and maintain effective cross-functional working relationships with managers, employees, external clients/vendors and/or customers
? Ability to prioritize and respond to frequent demands of multiple customers
? Ability to work under minimal supervision within tight timelines
? Proficient with tools such as Cognos, Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint
? Prior experience in developing SQL Queries in Microsoft SQL server is a plus
? A bachelor's degree in arts or science is required
Skills Preferred but Not Required:
Prior experience in developing SQL Queries in Microsoft SQL server is a plus.
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience:
Minimum of 2 years business, operational or financial analysis experience in the enterprise software industry, with a financial services company, or with an internet software company.
