Job Description:
T Project Management focuses on projects that involve infrastructure projects and can be but not limited to the support of business application development projects from an infrastructure perspective. The IT Project Manager oversees multiple projects within the GPMO IT Project portfolio. This role is responsible for project planning and statusing, risk management, and issue resolution. Duties may include: working with technical teams to facilitate planning & design process, assembling project team, assigning individual tasks and responsibilities, generation of schedules to ensure timely completion of projects, setting expectations with key stakeholders, communicating project status and issues to team and management, acting to reduce risk and resolve issues. Coordinates with other projects and work groups within the PMO, business and IT organizations within Experian.
• Responsible for all aspects of the implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for large scale, highly technical infrastructure projects.
• Manages projects from original concept through closure.
• Liaison between application development and infrastructure deployment teams. Work closely with the end users, business technologies, and others to understand and prioritize business goals and information needs related to the project.
• Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
• Conducts project meetings
• Responsible for effective communication with management and review project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of resources.
• Recommends, facilitates and drives the analysis and solutions of problems.
• May facilitate business and technical design sessions.
• Responsible for tracking of project budgets.
• Projects may include, but not limited to Networks, Information Security, Desktop, Help Desk, Distributed Systems, Data Center Migrations, Office Integrations in support of Acquisitions, Storage, Mainframe, Infrastructure build-outs to support business development of applicationsJob Functions:
• Build, troubleshoot and deploy service emails in support of company products
• Build, troubleshoot and deploy marketing emails in support of company products
• Support production launches for service emails
• Provide level of effort, track progress and deadlines of projects in work queue
• Interface with analysts and developers to gather requirements
• Be able to understand and report on metrics for service email deliverability
• Provide knowledge for production support and resolution of issues
• Complete tasks assigned by high ranking team members or manager
• Be aware of and be able to provide guidance on email marketing industry standards
• Adhere to team code guidelines, development standards and best practices.
Skills Required:
This resource must have infrastructure project management experience and will be responsible for managing all aspects of IT Projects, to include:
• Liaison between application development and infrastructure deployment teams.
• Coordinate project review meetings
• Assist project leads/teams with cross-functional collaboration, financial analysis and management, communications and customer/partner interaction, project planning and mgmt, building and implementing new services, resource acquisition
• Continual dialog w/key stakeholders (LOB Managers, Functional Management, etc.)
• Manage to the project plan (scope, time, budget, quality)
• Ensure key roles and responsibilities are defined for the project
• Team building and coordination/resolution of project problems, escalating when necessary
• Ensure acceptable project management practices are followed
• Ensure appropriate internal partners are involved in the project
• Communicate project status
• Evaluate performance of project performers and communicate to Management
• Maintain project schedule, scheduling review, status, communication meetings, and normal administrative duties associated with the Project Management role Project Experience:
• Infrastructure (network build, server deployment)
• Acquisitions
• Web Hosting services and application development
• Process improvement Preferred Technical Skills:
• Must have 5 years in a Project Manager role
• PMP Certification is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field, or equivalent work experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build consensus of diverse constituencies
• Ability to balance priorities • Ability to manage projects on time, budget, scope and value
• Demonstrated experience and success in managing team and/or departmental projects
• Strong experience working with cross-functional teams
• Expert process orientation • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to handle multiple large activities simultaneously
• Able to see how projects impact different stakeholders
• Able to work independently, self-starter, proactive, accomplishment and detail oriented
• Advanced working knowledge of MS Project, Word and Visio
Skills Preferred but Not Required:
PMP Strongly Preferred
