Job Title: System Engineer/Admin Linux
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Rate: 35/hr on C2C
Skills Need:
• Must have 5 plus years of experience with Linux operating systems
• Must have 2 plus years of experience engineering low-latency solutions in a trading environment
• Must have 4 year degree or equivalent experience
• Must have excellent communication skills and be customer focused
• Must have strong troubleshooting skills in a high pressure environment working with network, security and development teams
• Must know IP protocol, multicast and other network concepts.
• Must know enterprise level Linux security & implementation
• Must have experience in server performance tuning (kernel, memory, network).
• Must have experience with analyzing server core dumps.
• Must have experience with client/server services like NIS, NFS, X .
• Must have experience supporting, configuration and troubleshooting applications using middleware messaging such as TIBCO/RV
• Must have experience troubleshooting Java server applications.
• Must have experience with large storage systems like NetApp, EMC, HP.
• Must have experience with Shell and Perl scripting and/or C or C++.
• Must know storage principles in high performance environment (RAID, file systems, Solid State Disk, 10 Gb, Infiniband etc.).
• Must Know Oracle and Sybase performance tuning principles
