Tech Skills needed
Java web application usual suspects: JEE in general, Struts, Stripes, Jsp, maven, git, jdbc, ibatis/mybatis, spring, JMS, html, css, jquery/javascript, apache libraries. There is a fair amount of front-end HTML/CSS/javascript/jquery for this project, so make sure the candidate is strong in those areas as well as Java.

Work will include all tiers of a public e-commerce website doing 2M transactions a month—from database/model layer, to the action/controller layer, all the way to the html layer. It's exciting stuff!!

Strong communicator, comfortable in a casual environment, energetic and self-directed. Candidate needs to be able to take some specifications, learn the current system, and implement the new solution while not breaking anything there, with limited guidance. Willingness to tolerate passionate developer debates about hibernate and other 'evil technologies', and playing cards and other silliness at lunch is also useful.
