Role :  Linux Engineer

Location :  Hillsboro, OR

Duration:  up to 18 months

 

US Citizens and Green Card Holders ONLY

 

Project Description: 

 

Enables more rapid testing and data generation of Cloud I/O workloads for input into our R&D efforts to improve our future products.

 

Daily Responsibilities:

 

·         Install Linux/Windows/ESX OS

·         Change Linux configuration file and build Linux OS

·         System Administration with ability to configure file systems, network parameters etc.

·         Tuning network and storage benchmarks

·         Compile Linux benchmarks sources to executable

·         Develop PERL and/or Python scripts

·         Setup Web Servers and work with PHP scripts with Apache Web Server

 

Skills required:

 

·         Intermediate Cloud Computing experience

·         Advanced Linux experience

·         Advanced Python experience

·         Intermediate Test Documentation experience

·         Advanced Testing experience

·         Apache Web Server experience

·         VMware ESX install/Usability experience

·         Familiar with Java and/or C programming language

 

Skills desired, but not required:

 

·                     Familiar with network protocols like TCP/IP etc.

·                     Familiar in setting up Ethernet LAN 3

·                     Familiar with updating or modifying server hardware

·                     Experience optimizing Linux networking stack
