Role: Middleware Software Engineer

Duration: 8 Months

Location: Oregon - Beaverton

Customer mandates a F2F interview, so local candidates are preferred; else we have to do Skype interview.

Skills Needed:

Servlets/J2EE/Java/Object Oriented System Design/Web Services/XML

Job Description:

DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working with products teams to drive successful integrations with ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), McAfee's best in class enterprise security management platform.

• Responsible for software design, documentation, coding,debugging, and integration of middle tier and user interface components.

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and assigning development projects.

• Analyze customer requirements, propose and design, product features, and create functional specifications.

• Identify areas of improvements and assist in refining standards and procedures.

• Perform any other related work as assigned.



EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


• 5+ years of on the job development experience using Java

• 3+ years of on the job development experience on J2EE Web



Applications:



• 2+ years of on the job experience using network protocols, including HTTP, SOAP.

• Delivery experience on an actual Web Application/J2EE project.

• Strong OO design skills

• Experience using JUnit or other automated testing framework


Windows as well as Linux development experience


NICE TO HAVE EXPERIENCE:

• Experience using Tomcat, Ant or the Spring Framework (for object initialization).

• O/R Mapping experience; general database or using Hibernate.

• JNI (Java Native Environment) experience

• UI design skills using JSP/JavaScript/DHTML

• Knowledge of XML, W3C DOM and AJAX

• Knowledge of Agile Methodologies, such as Extreme Programming (XP)

• Development experience in cross browser web application, such as Internet Explorer and FireFox

• Experience using C/C++


QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

• BS (CS, EE) or equivalent including work experience.
