Oracle Apps DBA
Work Location San Jose , California
Duration 6+ Months
• Production/Development Support (Monitor database, resolve production support issues quickly and efficiently including off-hours support when needed, database back-ups and guidance for improvement).
• Change Management (Database Overlays/Refreshes, Promote code into production).
• Optimization (High Availability, performance tuning, query optimization, partitioning).
• Create and maintain process/procedure documentation.
• Install and upgrade various Oracle products and toolsets."
Mandatory Technical Skills
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
• BS in Computer Science
• Solid understanding of relational database concepts
• 6+ years experience with configuration/administration/support of medium to large Oracle 9i/10g/11gR2 databases running on Solaris/Linux
o Oracle RAC/ASM/SFRAC
o Backup and Recovery – RMAN, Hot Backups
o Oracle Partitioning
o Replication – Oracle and Shareplex
o Database performance optimization
• Good working knowledge of UNIX Operating system (Solaris) and (Linux).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to multi-task, be flexible under pressure, and work with changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in Oracle eBusiness (11i/R12) system administration including Patch application, cloning and installation will be plus.
• Experience in Weblogic and SOA/BPEL administration will be plus.

Oracle Core DBA with expertise
