Position: Windows Admin with COM + and MTS experience

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Duration: 3-6 months

 

Job/Project Description:

This is an opportunity for an experienced Application Support Engineer with strong web application administration to assist in an enterprise project for a large organization. 

This role will work with the Windows and web server teams as well as an outside software vendor to assess current application issues and prescribe solutions for the performance of core software applications. 

For anyone with strong systems engineering and troubleshooting skills with an understanding of Classic VB technology, this is a fantastic, unique opportunity.

 

They have to have COM + and MTS experience. 

This is more of a support position.

 

Required Skills:

5+ years of experience with Windows 2003 systems engineering

Experience with the administration of application and web servers in an enterprise environment is required including IIS version 6.0

Experience troubleshooting issues with applications written in Visual Basic 6 and ASP.net is required

Experience and/or understanding of environments using Microsoft Transaction Server and COM+ technology is required

Must have excellent analysis and troubleshooting skills

Must have the ability to work well within a team and interact with 3rd party software vendors
