Position: IBM WebSphere Portal Administrator
Duration: Long term
Location: El Dorado Hills, CA
Experience:
Over 10+ years of experience in IT
Expert level understanding of WEBSPHERE PORTAL SERVER with 8+ years of experience on the installation, support, and administration side of WebSphere Portal (preferably WebSphere Portal 7 )
Expert level experience in installation, configuration, tuning, security, backup, recovery and upgrades of Websphere Portal Server in clustered (High Available) environments on IBM AIX, Unix and Windows systems. (MUST HAVE)
Experience in cloning WebSphere Portal environment (MUST HAVE)
Experience in setting up High Available environments (MUST HAVE)
Working with the Portal Scripting Interface wpscript.sh , wsadmin.sh and JACL/JYTHON, ant, shell scripting is MUST SKILL
Experience in installing, managing and maintaining WebSphere Application server (preferred WAS 8.x) and Websphere Portal Server. (MUST HAVE)
Experience in setting up integrated security access to IBM Websphere Portal and Single Sign-On to other applications. (MUST HAVE)
Experience in configuration of IBM Websphere Portal credential vault.
Should be a self-starter and should make things done with minimal support
Java application knowledge components of an application (war, jar, jsp, xml, properties, etc …)
Experience with automation (deployments, environment and configuration management promotion)
Background with source control repositories
Background in the SDLC process
Excellent communication skills
Excellent documentation skills
Experience working with Source Control Management Team, Developers and Project Managers
Solution engineering type – title is not important – I am looking for someone that has the big picture solution approach which focuses on environment
Skills:
WebSphere Portal 8.x , WebSphere Application Server 8.x, IBM AIX, Linux operating systems, F5 load balancer, IBM HTTP Servers, Web Content management, strong scripting skills is a must.
