Title: QA Tester

Location: Albany, NY

Length: 6-12 Months

 

Required skills:

This position requires seven years of intensive and progressive experience in a computer related field with three years within the last six calendar years of intensive and progressive experience in performing software testing for complex to highly complex software hardware applications and/or systems. 

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, mathematics,  or engineering  or a mathematics-intensive discipline,  or an applicable certificate of training from an accredited institution

Have thorough working experience in QA Testing various QA Testing methodologies, complete SDLC understanding

Must have detailed test management  experience with building and maintaining  test plans, test suites, test cases, defects, test scripts using ROM

Be   detail oriented, have excellent writing & verbal communication and possess client facing skills, have vast knowledge  of testing techniques to cover all possible corner cases for testing, verification and validation techniques

Hands on experience  in very complex and large web based application (portal) testing built on Java, Web-sphere(presentation layer), DB2 LUW (backend database) and middleware  (web-services,  API calls testing using SOAP Ul)

Working knowledge  MS office like MS Word for documents,  MS Excel for reporting etc.

Hands on working experience in writing SQL skills using joins for data validation from various data sources using DB2LUW

Sound hands on knowledge  of healthcare insurance domain with testing EDI transactions

 

Extensive hands on functional knowledge of Rational Quality Manager for test management  with collaboration  with Rational Team Concert and Rational Requirement Composer

Working level experience with DB2 in a mainframe environment.

Must be a team player, quick responsive, contributor, coordinator,  cooperative, understanding, polite and adaptive to accept changes in complex changing environment and must accept directions from seniors, colleagues and management

Should be ready to put extra efforts and help to other team members  and also ready for late evening, weekend work to accomplish the given tasks for NY-HX high visible project

Prefer in depth working experience of validation ADA 508 Compliance
