Job Description: Ruby on Rails Developer
4 Positions- Long term
Job Type: contract
Location: Broomfield, CO
Key Responsibilities:
Seeking a Rails developer with strong application expertise and experience building complex web, mobile, and desktop-based systems. We are looking for candidates who are knowledgeable with all layers of development including system and database architecture and application development. In this role, you will be a key participant through all phases of the development lifecycle including design, development, and deployment.
To be successful in this position, you must be a self-starter and enjoy working with a highly collaborative team in a fast paced environment while managing multiple, concurrent tasks.
Responsibilities
• Develop high-quality, production ready and standards compliant web services
• Participate as a member of a team developing state of the art consumer web applications
• Coordinate with the front-end development team to develop RESTful APIs appropriate to their needs and which fit into a broad-scope system architecture
• Maintain cutting edge knowledge of emerging technologies, trends and standards
Qualifications:
• Proven commercial application development experience using Ruby on Rails
• Solid Unix command line skills
• Strong expertise in MySQL query development and optimization
• NoSQL experience, MongoDB a plus
• RESTFul API standards, SOAP a plus
• Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment and work on projects against deadlines
• BA/BS degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Added Value Skills:
• Experience deploying highly scalable, highly available applications in a secure environment
• Background in healthcare IT a plus
