Mobile Developer (2 spots) iPhone OR Android

Function:

·         2 developers will provide production support for a "soon-to-be-launched" innovative application that will be available to Chase customers online and mobile (iPhone, Android).

·         The original application development effort was led by the Innovations team. The 2 new developers are being brought to augment the Innovations team. At some point, it is expected that the application will migrate to a non-Innovation production group within Chase.

·         Developers will help to "stabilize" the new application, and will be responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of the application.

·         Developers will also provide escalation response, including off hours pager support in case of system outages.

·         Developers will also provide diagnostics to resolve individual customer issues.

Skills:

·         Objective C for iPhone development OR Android development (Java)

General Qualifications:

·         In addition to meeting technical qualifications, developers should have good communication skills

Technical skills:

• Demonstrated experience in the architecting, design, development, and testing of large, complex systems.

• Strong knowledge of SOA principles: interoperability, abstraction, reusability, composability, agility.

• Strong technical knowledge of RDBMS fundamentals, Oracle DB, and Oracle RAC.

• Leading and mentoring of other technical staff, lead the methods and process definition, and provide strong expertise with technical/troubleshooting issues.

• Expert in Fusion Middleware: OSB, BPEL, BAM, CEP, OEM, and adapters.

• 7+ years experience of web services: XML, SOAP, WSDL, BPEL, and WS-* specifications.

• 7+ years experience using PL-SQL, Oracle, UNIX, NT.

• 7+ years experience in the architecture, design, development, test, and support of enterprise integration.

• 3+ years experience working with Fusion Middleware Suite including OSB, BPEL Process Manager, BAM, and OSR is a must.

• Exposure to SAP technologies a strong plus.

• Technical training with Oracle integration technologies and toolsets.

• Oracle e*Gate/JavaCAPS/SAP XI-PI knowledge a plus.

Job Description

Application Developer - Boston, MA

This position is responsible for the support of all backend development and maintenance efforts for Intranet sites and all other marketing group web-based projects. Responsibilities include developing customized applications, writing form processing scripts, and updating and customizing content management system templates.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meet with internal customers to determine project requirements then build applications using the most appropriate technologies.
Develop applications and dashboards that help Marketing and Sales groups work more efficiently. This may sometimes include managing outside vendors that are involved with the project.
Support Marketing group on various web-based projects including, but not limited to, data visualizations, applications that interact with Salesforce API, site redesigns, form processing scripts.
Collaborate with other developers in the group on larger projects that require developers with different areas of expertise.
Maintain and improve customized content management system for internal and external websites. This includes, but is not limited to, scripts for publishing content to production servers and templates that allow content owners to easily maintain their content.
Assist with content updates on internal and external web sites as necessary

Required:

5-7 years working in a Web Developer/Software Engineer position.
Strong working knowledge of Perl/CGI scripting including web services APIs.
Substantial experience with at least three of the following: MySQL, XML, AJAX, SOAP, Rsync, shell scripting, JQuery.
Ability to code HTML, JavaScript and CSS by hand.
Comfortable working from a UNIX command line.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and solve problems in a timely manner.
Ability to handle multiple high priority projects at one time.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

Experience interacting with large data sets (RRD system familiarity a plus).
Experience with Salesforce.com APIs is a plus.
Familiarity with content management systems (Plone/Zope is a plus).
Willingness to learn new technologies.
