Position: Java Front-end Developer
Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: 12+ months

FYI – We are on a J2EE Platform - Programming language Java5 and Java6 – depending on project

Front-End Developer:

Front-End Developer's primary responsibility will be designing/coding the front-end of the application, but candidates need to be skilled in core Java programming and know back-end development as well
Candidates must know best practices development and know/follow coding standards – Good understanding of the web development process including; wire-framing/mockups, development, debugging and testing
Candidates need to have a solid understanding of OO Design and recent experience with the following technologies: Web 2.0, AJAX, J2EE, JMS, Spring and/or Struts, XML, JQuery, HTML (HTML5 would be great), CSS, (CSS3 would be great), strong SQL knowledge AND candidates need to have core Java programming knowledge
Resume - Manager likes to see what specific work the candidate has done on the front-end and what technology did they use to design the UI
The following skills/knowledge are a PLUS: UI Design Concepts, DOJO and/or Mootools, CMS and Mobile Development, Secure Coding Practices, PCI Data Security Standards, OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project)

JOB DESCRIPTION

IT Finance Business Analyst

The financial functional lead serves as a liaison between the technical staff and business user community, with a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Works with users to identify and specify complex business requirements, then calls upon a deep knowledge of Oracle EBS to deliver application design, module configuration/setup, acceptance testing, and End-User training.

Key responsibilities
Complete technical architecture design, logical design and technology strategy
Work as a business partner with client users to evaluate / improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions
Translate challenging business requirements into solutions leveraging standard Oracle functionality in the most current releases of Oracle EBS
Perform configuration and setups
Ensure deliverables are tracked and delivered to the project schedule
Mentor in-house technical resources on Oracle EBS system
Lead business process evaluations, requirements-gathering, system analysis and design activities
Collaborate on design decisions on business solutions and processes on Oracle EBS
Engage multiple stakeholders to ensure a successful rollout of business solutions
Work with external consultants to ensure quality deliverables that meet standards
Act as Oracle Financials EBS Subject Matter Expert
Work closely with application development managers and integration resources to build integrated solutions
Monitor production to identify candidates for long term application improvements
Perform other duties as assigned or necessary

Qualifications:

* Financials modules expertise must have: AR, GL and OM.,
* Financial business background strongly preferred
* A deep understanding of Quote to Cash, Revenue and General Accounting processes, including in-depth knowledge about AR interface, AR Setup, including invoicing payment, reconciliation etc.
* Must have experience implementing custom solutions that are integrated with Oracle EBS, specifically involving order, fulfillment, billing, returns and revenue processing.

* Complete knowledge about technical architecture design, logical design and technology strategy
* Experience with Informatica , Vertex and / or Aria a plus
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
Professional Skills:
Proven history of successful problem solving with strong sense of ownership and urgency
Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills
Strong Interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment including the ability to work collaboratively with business users, IT staff and various levels of management

This group handles all the development maintenance and support for the reservoir modeling and simulation data back end, front end and middle ware. We are looking for someone with expertise on the mid-tier and backend. Must have heavy desktop development, not just web. They must be able to work well with multiple teams, and be able to work side by side with engineers and geoscientists.
A DEGREE IN ENGINEERING OR PETROLEUM ENGINEERING IS KEY

MUST HAVE:
HEAVY C++
HEAVY C# or HEAVY PYTHON
GEOLOGICAL MODELING
RESERVOIR SIMULATION
HEAVY APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT

Works within a large / agile software development team developing new software products in a reservoir engineering and reservoir modeling context
Development team is co-located with Research staff and work in close collaboration
Works as a software developer responsible for developing and implementing software solutions in support of the above
This is not a consultant role. However, the team are regularly involved with feature elaborations and feedback / discussion on design and architecture
May involve some prototyping to determine the best path forward
Advanced C++experience
High proficiency in EITHER C# OR Python
Strong software design skills
Considerable Windows desktop software experience; Web / online only experience will not be considered

Linux experience
