Position: Share Point Developer ( Only GC & Citizens )
Location: Arlington, VA
Duration: 1 Year
Job Description:
The Senior SharePoint Engineer will work with a variety of customers while collaborating on
requirements definition and is responsible for architecture, design, development, system
testing, and documentation functions for all clients SharePoint applications. The Senior
SharePoint Engineer will solve a variety of business problems through SharePoint baseline
capabilities, SharePoint integration with Microsoft Office products and utilization/integration
of 3rd party components. The Senior SharePoint Engineer must be able to demonstrate a
passion for SharePoint solutions and the development of creative solutions to business
challenges.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
a Develop requirements using an Agile style of development
a Develop SharePoint solutions (using "out of the box" functionality, web parts,
application pages, page layouts, Office integration, etc.) based on business needs
a Develop and maintain effective customer relationships
a Migrate existing SharePoint projects from SharePoint 2003 and 2007 into
SharePoint 2010; Maintain legacy SharePoint applications until migration efforts are
completed
a Responsible for evaluating and demonstrating new SharePoint technologies
Qualifications:
Formal Education: BS in Computer Science or related subject. Equivalent work experience
may substitute for degree.
Must have skills:
a 5+ years of SharePoint experience including Administration, Development,
Integration and Operations
a Technical skills that allow for MS Office and MS SharePoint integration; Technical
skills to include C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
a Object Oriented Design and SharePoint architecture
a Excellent verbal and written communication skills
a Excellent Customer Service skills
a Proven ability to understand a customer's needs
a Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills
a Ability to create and manage functional requirements using an Agile/Iterative
approach
Desired Skills:
a Microsoft Certification
a Project Management Certification
