Requirements :
Some of the main responsibilities include:
- Analyze highly complex business requirements.
- Generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications.
- Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts.
- Leverage industry (Java and J2EE) best practices to design, test, implement and support a multi-tier origination J2EE solution working with an Oracle DB.
- Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area.
- Hands-on development experience is critical to this role and will constitute a majority of the responsibility. The ideal candidate for this role will be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment.
- Candidate must have the ability to adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Java/J2EE development experience
- Hands on experience in designing, developing and successful deployment of large scale, Java/J2EE projects from end-to-end.
- Hands on experience in following the iterative and agile SDLC.
- Extensive knowledge and application of Java best practices and J2EE design patterns along with experience with application servers (i.e. Weblogic, WebSphere, JBoss, etc.), and Oracle database servers.
- Experience in implementing design patterns and should be able to adapt to the changing patterns quickly.
- Hands-on experience with n-tier J2EE technologies such as Java EE 5, JSP, JavaScript, JMS, Hibernate , XML, XSD, XSLT, Parsers, and UML documentation.
- Experience in various performance analysis and tuning techniques. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential.
Preferred Skills:
- Production Support experience.
- Demonstrated analytical and reverse engineering experience.
- Prior work experience in the financial industry.
- Hibernate, Eclipse Modeling Framework or other ORM tool experience.
- Prior work experience in OSCache, JCache or other caching API.
- SQL performance tuning.

- Currently has approx. 10,xxx end users
- Will have up to 50,xxx end users by completion of application
- 24x7 application w/ lots of volume
Technical Overview of Application:
- Front-end sits on top of Google Web Toolkit (GWT)
- Utilize Hibernate for middleware
- Oracle 11g database for back-end
