Work Location : Elk Grove, CA

Client : Apple

Note : Telephonic Hire , Need candidates who has worked previously with Manufacturing experience in IT/H/W/Server like Dell, HP , Cisco etc

Job Qualifications & Experience :

•         Demonstrated ability to work well with business analysts, programmers and end users in  a cross functional team

•         At least two years minimum of software test experience

•         At least two years experience testing multiple software projects simultaneously

•         At least two years experience working with a structured software methodology and

•         software test experience

•          Experienced user of an automated testing and defect tracking application

•          Experienced user of SQL & Java

•          Experience creating scripts for automating processes

•          Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)

•          including requirements definition, initial application design, testing, final implementation

•          and operations

•          Familiar with Oracle and other transactional and storage environments

•          Familiar with manufacturing processes and data

•          Experience in systems integration and user acceptance testing

•          Experience with Analysis, Reporting, Communication and Presentation

•          Information and Technology Proficiency, Problem Solving and Decision Making

 

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.

 

General Duties :

Develops, publishes, and implements test plans for complex, multi-tier, distributed, applications

throughout the full lifecycle of the software. Works on all applications, including new and

in production. Writes and maintains test automation. Publishes test results. Develops quality

assurance standards. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics on production readiness such

as defect densities and open defect counts. Reports to QA Manager.

 

Quality Assurance:

•          Defines, develops and implements quality assurance practices and procedures, test plans

      and other QA assessments

•          Develops automated testing systems using commercial tools, scripts and data sets

•          Ensures that all items follow the appropriate SDLC QA process and are tracked.

Testing

•          Defines scope and objectives of all levels of QA testing

•          Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load and system testing

•          Responsible for the overall success of testing, manages assigned projects from IT Quality

•          Testing through final User Acceptance Testing

•          Establishes the purpose and deliverables of the test effort

•          Problem solving and resolution of issues that impede the test effort

•          Assures the appropriate level of quality resolving important defects by working with

•          developers to ensure the software development process has an appropriate level of testing

•          Creates effective manual and automated test plans, using a variety of toolsets

•          Works collaboratively with development during all stages of projects.

•          Coordinates with groups of business personnel who test, evaluate and validate new

•          functions and applications, and identify issues in software or services

•          Records and reports on testing metrics

•          Obtains final sign-off for code releases to production from the appropriate Project Sponsor & stakeholders

•          Track and report defects using appropriate tools
