Location: Columbus, OH

 

Duration: Long term

 

Interview type: Phone screen followed by face to face

Required Skills: Programming skills: IBM BAL Mainframe Assembler Language, IBM JCL, and some UNIX

 

Required Soft Skills:

Good oral and written communications.

Ability to learn complex and challenging new skills with low frustration level.

 

Required Specific Application Experience:

Experience using programming skills throughout an entire IT Project Development Process     

 

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Programming skills: C, Shell, Perl, XML, FTP, MarkLogic and general experience with automated testing tools

 

Certification(s) Required:

N/A     

 

Description of Services:

Responsible for maintaining batch systems that input data in various vendor formats and update databases using proprietary formats.   Maintain online systems that search and display from the databases.

 

Tasks to be Assigned:

Possible tasks include loading databases, changing existing batch and online software, repairing data, moving content around UNIX, IBM mainframe, and shadow files; writing Shell and Perl software to analyze and fix data
