As a Oracle Sr. Developer, your focus will be to develop and test mission critical enterprise applications that meets the needs of the business.

The Commercial Card IT department is committed to developing cutting edge technology with high quality, innovative developers.

Responsibility:
•Adhere to Commercial Card IT coding standards, procedures, and techniques.
•Contribute to the technical code and design documentation.
•Successful candidate will be responsible for the design of complex ETL jobs
•Conducting code reviews and ensuring quality solutions are built and tested.
•Advanced knowledge of PL/SQL and Oracle.
•Current technologies include DataStage 8.x, Crystal Report 2008, Business Objects XI R2 and Oracle Rack 11g.
Qualifications:
•Oracle development experience - 5+ years
•Expert knowledge in Oracle 10g and above, in a Unix environment
•Must be comfortable with backup/restore, installing, updating, monitoring and tuning multiple Oracle databases.
•Strong hands-on development experience working with Oracle SQL & PL / SQL
•Strong UNIX skills and shell scripting and ORACLE tools (sqlloader, export, import)
- Strong Crystal Reports Development skills
•Strong documentation skills and be able and willing to document all procedures
-Excellent analysis skills, able to interact with team members to derive and interpret business needs
•Mature design, coding, testing and debugging

Business Challenge Client is Tasked with Solving :

The business challeng is that Chase's paymentNET commercial credit card application was creating some reporting problems that were becoming visible to their corporate credit card customers. To fix the reporting problems they are migrating the database.

 

Who is the Internal/External Customer? (i.e., end-user or end-client) :

External Customers are corporate credit card clients

 

Impact to the Internal/External Customer? (i.e., how does the end-users job become easier?) :

The SQL database is converting to Oracle 11g, which will provide a more robust, scalable solution
