Product Assurance Test Engineering Technician
•Provides technical direction and leadership in a team environment.
•Assists the Product Assurance Test Engineer in developing and
transitioning test procedures for use in day to day operations.
•Performs tear down and root cause analysis of in-process and field
return units. •Communicates troubleshooting results to affected
parties. •Initiates any required containment and corrective action
based upon troubleshooting results. •Assists in the development and
enhancement of in-process and final test procedures and test fixtures
to support changes in product technology and/or to improve testing
capabilities. •Assists in developing processes/procedures to eliminate
capacity constraints for items processed to and through the testing/
diagnosis operations to achieve and maintain flow concepts. •Reworks
discrepant systems found during troubleshooting per manufacturing and
engineering specifications. •Initiates any required authorizing
documentation for the repair of discrepant systems to meet the
functional requirements of manufacturing and engineering
specifications. •Monitors and ensures workmanship standards are
achieved and maintained. •Trains personnel in proper troubleshooting
methodologies and techniques and in new test processes and procedures.
•Will spend part of his/her time as a member of continuous improvement
teams undertaking projects and seeking ways to improve the quality of
our's products and services. •Regular attendance is an essential job
function. Required Skills:
•A.S. in Electronics / Electronics Technology or demonstrated College
level training/courses. •8 years minimum experience in electronics
manufacturing and testing environment. •3 years minimum experience in
the troubleshooting of complex systems to root-cause correction.
