Position: Senior QA testing engineer (QTP Tester)

Location NYC

Duration: Long-term

Rate: $45 on C2C

 

Job Description

 The primary role of the Senior QA Tester is to effectively test our middle office and back office trade flows. The candidate must have a strong hands-on testing background in clearing and settlements. They will follow a rigorous system development life cycle (SDLC), quality and project management best practices, and adhere to Change Control and Problem Management procedures.

 

Day to Day activities include

Test planning and development

Ability to translate business requirements into test plans scenarios and scripts

Report Metrics

Issue resolution

Strategic planning

Managing UAT and QA testing

QA Deliverables

Defect tracking and reporting

Status reporting

Leading and hosting projects meetings

Creating regression test scripts using Quick Test Professional (QTP)

 

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field

Excellent understanding of post execution trade flows

5+ years experience

Prior working knowledge in middle office and clearing/settlement systems

Basic understanding or working experience of FIX messaging

Working knowledge of writing SQL queries

Basics of Windows Operating Systems

Basic understanding .Net technologies

Advance working knowledge in QTP (e.g. - test execution using QTP)

Advance working knowledge in vbscript and scripting technologies

Testing experience

Ability to track and resolve and resolve projects issues

Understands how to leverage test management tools, and test automation tools

Experience with one or more agile methodologies
