Location: Upstate New York

Duration: 18+ months

Job Title: Websphere MQ Series/Message Broker Administrator

Target Rate: $45-52/hr. Corp. to Corp. (Slightly Flexible for a good candidate)

Deadline: ASAP

 

 

The candidate will support Websphere MQ Series and Message Broker on Linux and AIX platforms.  The candidate will also support the messaging systems.   Responsibilities include:

 

·         Administration, troubleshooting and configuration of Websphere MQ and Message Broker.

·         MQ Series channel and queue configuration, queue manager administration, and testing.

·         Modifying Java programs that utilize messaging via MQ.

 

Candidate must have good communication skills and be able to work as a project team member.  Interaction with other System Administration, Networking and Application Programming staff will also be required.  Understanding how the various MQ components interface with external customers and internals applications is required.  A thorough understanding of Message Broker flows is also required.

 

Must have 3 of the following skills as well:

 

1. HACMP

2. Experience administering Websphere Application Server

3. Experience administering Websphere Portal

4. Unix

5. TCP/IP

6. Good verbal/written communication skills

7. Ability to work as a team member
