BI Report Developer
BI Report Developer (Microsoft)
The BI Developer will focus on writing reports and building dashboards. Under General supervision, maintain and develop reports and dashboards using Transact-SQL. Must be able to interface with customers to gather and document requirements. Will assist customers in researching data issues and designing reports.
Essential Functions:
Gather and document reporting requirements with Business Analyst
Create new reports and dashboards from Transact-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Identify data elements from Source data repositories and document requirements for new data elements
Develop new reports & dashboards and modify existing reports & dashboards
Follow Configuration Management process for developing and implementing reports
Responsible for administering Reporting Services portal, including User -Management, Configuration, and Managing runtime environment

Identify and implement Best Practices for managing Reporting Services development and portal
Work with Data Architects, Database Administrators, and Data Quality Analysts on data requirements and Quality Assurance

Identify and implement Best Practices for managing Reporting Services development and portal
Work with Data Architects, Database Administrators, and Data Quality Analysts on data requirements and Quality Assurance
Example Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent certifications required
3+ Years IT experience required
1+ Years industry experience as Microsoft Reporting Services developer required
Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services 2005 and Microsoft Management Studio (2000+) required
Proficiency with Microsoft T-SQL required
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and/or Office development a plus
2+ years experience with relational databases a plus. Microsoft SQL Server experience preferred.
Knowledge of ETL processes a plus
Knowledge of Dimensional Modeling a plus
