MicroStrategy Architect

Location: Oakbrook, IL

Duration: 6+ Months

 

Job Description: Experienced MicroStrategy Architect that has minimum of 5 years MicroStrategy experience working on large data warehousing. Experience with warehousing that spans multiple countries. The individual will shadow existing architect and team to offer advice guidance and best practices. The purpose of the position is to expand our teams capabilities in schema design and general MicroStrategy development methodology.

·         Knowledge of Teradata essential.

·         Knowledge of DataStage a plus.

·         Must also be able to read and write SQL statements.

·         Be able to self-lead, motivate, guide and mentor other team members

 

Job Description: Provide technology solutions leadership to our MicroStrategy development team, ensuring that the solution design and implementation meet the project objectives with respect to functionality, performance, scalability and on-time delivery.

·         Execute the roles as the MicroStrategy architect in determining appropriate solutions for Business Intelligence projects. Understand and help refine clients' high level requirements and develop solution based upon needed functionality.

·         Review technical designs to ensure that the implementation will meet the business requirements.

·         8+ years' experience in Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence platform

·         6+ years' experience in developing reporting application specifically using MicroStrategy technologies

·         2+ years in an architect/lead development position

·         Thorough understanding and experience working with an Enterprise Data Warehouse and ETL technologies

·         Experience with Teradata and DataStage a plus.
