We currently have a Long Term Contracting opportunity for a Sr. UDB Database Admin with our client located in McLean, VA.

 

Skills Required:

·         In depth experience with DB2 UDB  database installation, configuration and upgrade on AIX / Linux platforms

·         8+ Years of UDB database technology experience

·         Table space management of DPF databases

·         Excellent knowledge of Database backup and recovery of very large databases, typically multi terabytes

·         Expert level troubleshooting knowledge of data warehouse type UDB databases

·         Expert level of performance and tuning skills

·         Excellent knowledge of UDB database/instance tuning, optimizing complex SQL statements for best possible performance.

·         Good Knowledge of new features of version 9.7

·         Proven leadership skills and ability to manage multiple UDB version, instances with multiple operating system platform

·         Good scripting skills to create and maintain shell scripts to automate various database related tasks

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Good understanding of incident management and change management processes

·         Must be a team player

 

Skill Level: Senior (7+ yrs)
