Roles & Responsibilities

This staff will primarily work on designing and developing web services to integrate an Oracle based system with the COBOL based legacy systems.  These web services will be expected to read and update information on the legacy systems using the most efficient languages and methodologies available for the solution.  Web services development for this position will utilize some or all of the following: Java, XML, HATS, EGL, Rational Developer for System z, COBOL, CICS

Qualification/Technical Skillsets required

Codes tests, and configures system components
Translates functional requirements and designs into programmatic code
Create design packs
Estimate work efforts for work plan creation and maintenance
Implements agency-specific configurations and customizations
Performs testing on code until passes unit test conditions
Create unit test plan, perform testing, and work with testing staff on system testing
Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively with Business and IT community
Web Services – creation using Java, XML, HATS, EGL, Rational Developer for System z, COBOL, CICS, publishing, ingestion, lifecycle, standards
