Roles & Responsibilities

The person is responsible architecture support in several areas. First: research, analyze, and document the architectures of existing legacy applications. This must include each system's functionality, processes, interfaces, data flows, and technology. This information will be critical for proposed modernization efforts. This modernization will use state of the art new technologies, it is highly critical to provide expertise and best practice in the modern technologies.  The person is responsible in defining the feasible and scalable architecture and implementing the same. Provide complete Technical Architecture support to the project team in the areas of business rules, workflows, business processes, data modeling, and datawarehousing for the new initiative(s).

Qualification/Technical Skillsets required

Good communication skills
Experience in previous enterprise architecture assignments
Ability to think conceptually
Ability to diagram using ProVision and/or Visio
Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture  principles and governance
Understanding of Enterprise Service Bus concepts and architecture
Ability to create and work with pictures and diagrams

Technical (J2EE, Oracle/BEA Weblogic)
Identifies/Manages/Enhances Architecture Blueprints, Patterns and Reference Architectures
Skilled in the implementation of Enterprise Service Bus
Assesses business needs and enhances the architecture appropriately 
Reviews and supports project teams with architectural guidelines 
Assists in enhancing SOA methods 
Conducts Technical / Architectural Quality Assurance
Provides capacity, performance, and system sizing expertise
Provides experience in the internals of applications built upon Java/J2EE, Spring, web services, etc
Provides experience in infrastructure analysis, planning, and implementation
Provides experience in Cloud environments including platform options
