Desired Skills & Experience:
• Ensures system inspection, testing, verification and validation occurs for all projects, upgrades, implementations, and special updates.
• Utilizes processes for early defect detection and removal, testing (e.g. types, levels, strategies, tools and documentation) and verification and validation methods and techniques.
• Implements quality programs, which include tracking, analyzing, reporting, problem resolution and training.
• Applies proven analytical and problem solving skills to help validate IT processes through careful testing in order to maximize the benefits of business investments in IT initiatives.
• Determines what modifications are needed after testing.
• Ensures the viability, functionality and effectiveness of essential tools.
• Maintains the quality of test scripts, ensuring they meet Sutter Health standards.
• Leadership
• A background in Healthcare/Healthcare insurance is a plus.
• Provides leadership in establishing quality standards for life cycle, documentation, development methods, testing and maintenance.
• Utilizes testing guidelines, policies, procedures, protocols and processes.
• Provides guidance and aid in the achievement of testing objectives.
• Coordinates and communicates with various levels of management and staff including business, clinical, and IT departments.
Requirements:
• Works with members of IS teams, project teams, affiliate teams and vendor representatives.
• Directs assigned matrixed resources.
• Anticipates program release problems and takes corrective action, escalating as needed, to resolve and achieve commitments.
• Testing Coordination
• Maintains product consistency throughout product cycle, including the design and build phases through quality checkpoints and testing.
• Administers quality assurance metrics for reporting to project managers, functional managers/directors, and executives.
• Manages project and overall expectations pertaining to setting accurate schedules, costs and resources.
• Ensures delivery of testing goals and objectives, i.e. meeting commitments and coordinating overall quality assurance schedule.
• Coordinates the planning and execution of product testing efforts, including all associated resources to meet committed delivery dates.
• Coordinates and is accountable to ensure defects are addressed prior to moving build into a Production environment.
• Provides effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and performance to plan.
• Works with Project Managers to develop project schedules and resource allocation models for QA related projects and other activities such as software deployment, customer integration, and
professional services validation.
• Flags the timing of interdepartmental deliverables and the quality of their output.
• Orchestrates the coordination of testing deliverables of Customer visible environments.
• Creates tasks and checklists for software deployment.
