I have an opening for a Business Analyst that has either been a former Java Developer or can code in Java. They need to know WebServices, XML and Data Schemas. A former Java Developer that has moved in a Business Analyst role would be an ideal candidate.

Position Description: Experience Level: 7-10 years tech experience with at least 4 yrs e-business focus Description: Acts as liaison between client area, technical organization, and other affected areas by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved through strategic eCommerce-based solutions (e.g., Intranet and Internet). Responsible for producing business requirements. Functions as project manager for large and complex projects. Develops project plans and schedules, including budgets.

May act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by evaluating current processes and recommending new e-commerce solutions that reduce costs or extend current capabilities. May work directly with senior management and is considered a high-level expert.

Seeking a Senior level business/technical analyst with a minimum of 7 years technical experience with at least 5 years in business analysis and systems design to serve as an analyst in a middleware services provider group. Directs meetings with client application users and business sponsors to refine business requirements and synthesize the middleware functional requirements. Partners with other architects to agree on scope of the functions to be built by the middle-tier analysts. Documents the work scope through understanding of the Functional System Design phase of the enterprise project methodology process. This document will serve multiple audiences - developers for coding direction, testing team to build test cases, and client-application developers for understanding the behavior and interface of the message. Writes/updates technical specifications of the APIs (application programming interface) detailing data attributes and transformations, business rules and flow of control Experience should include: Analyzing financial industry business processes; Designing distributed systems including defining interfaces between applications; Defining web service interfaces using WSDL and XML schemas; Additionally, previous experience with data models and modeling and schema analysis and design is highly desirable. Individual must be a self-starter, possess the initiative to drive analysis to completion (identifying questions and issues, following-up on issues, etc.) and be able to manage priorities on multiple projects simultaneously.
