Telecom client is going through an EDW platform migration and upgrade. They are moving toward Teradata v.13. We need a strong Informatica Developer with Teradata experience, specifically from a telecom background.


ETL Consultant
The ETL Consultant specializes in the design and development of the ETL environment, processes, programs, and scripts to acquire data from source systems and apply the data to the tables in the database. This individual must have the skills necessary to understand the overall data warehouse architecture. The ETL Consultant designs and builds the ETL environment with the specific toolset required by the client. The ETL Consultant may also provide input to the database designer to optimize the data loading of the physical database. The ETL Consultant may be the Lead Consultant on a project.

Teradata Database ETL Developer.
This Database/Scalable Data Warehouse Consultant is one of several customer-facing roles performed by clients Professional Services organization that focuses on delivering data warehouse solutions to customers. Provides technical needs analysis and support regarding database configuration and utilization issues.
Responsible for designing database query specifications, database implementation, performance tuning administration and security.
Typically engage in post-sale delivery activities, but may participate in pre-sale activities directly with customers.
Works with relationship database technology in an application development environment (Teradata, DB2, ORACLE, and Informix) and data sourcing tools (Visual Basic, PowerBuilder).
An intermediate level position that manages multiple, moderately complex assignments as part of a customer engagement.
Requires technical degree in computer science with a database concentration or related discipline,  7 years related experience.

Additional Job Description:
The candidate will be writing ETL code
Use of BTEQ to implement business rules is required
Informatica experience is required
Ability to do some basic modeling using Erwin is a plus
Also knowledge on how COGNOS and other BI tools use data is a plus
Must know Teradata and have work experience in the last year.

SQL, Teradata SQL Teradata Informatica BTEQ
