Position: SAP BO Consultant
Location: NJ

Developer Skills:
1. Report development and unit test experience with SAP Business Objects Reporting Tools (including BO Enterprise Premium, BO Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports 2008, Xcelius).
2. Experience in creating BO universes .
3. Strong proficiency in writing in SQL queries, creating views, stored procedures and functions.
4. Performance Optimization in Reports and queries.
5. Expertise in creating charts, graphs, crosstab reports using web intelligence
6. Experience with Excel, pivot tables, functions
Work Experience Needed:
4+ years demonstrated experience as a Business Objects report Developer, IT SDLC, ability to create technical designs, query performance tuning as well as multi-dimensional data modeling, ability to design, model and implement Business Objects universes
4+ years experience with Business Objects
4+ years experience developing complex SQL (Structured Query Language) queries in Oracle
Advanced experience with IT business systems analysis concepts, tools, and techniques.
Call Center/Customer Service, Rate and Finance experience is a plus
Technical Designer Skills:
1. Translate functional design documents into detailed technical specifications that include technical flow diagrams, entity relationship diagrams, detailed report logic and calculations, report layouts, database objects, and error handling – while ensuring these technical designs meet the business/functional requirements specified in the Functional Design.
2. Technical Skills include SAP Business Objects Reporting Tools (including BO Enterprise Premium vXI, BO Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports 2008, Xcelius), experience and strong proficiency in developing SQL (Structured Query Language) queries in an Oracle database.
Day-Day activities
1. Create Business Objects reports, set up security and delivery scheduling.
2. Extract SQL from existing Business Objects reports in order to optimize SQL for performance as needed.
3. Report SQL tuning and Unit Test reports
4. Performance testing of the reports. Optimize reports, universe objects, database objects as and when necessary.
5. Create technical designs. Interact with functional designer, business users as necessary.
6. Do revisions to the design documents following reviews if necessary.
7. Do peer reviews of other technical designs as and when necessary
8. Create necessary database objects (views, stored procedures, functions) if necessary
9. Create universe as needed.
