Job Title : Data Warehouse  Business Analyst
Location: Charlotte, NC Duration: 6 Months
Prior experience of cable or telecommunication industry
Responsibilities
Define validation approach; Work with the business for their input into the approach, signoff criteria, tolerance levels, etc. Work with the business to define point of truth metrics and document how they are calculated along with their definitions. Using data analysis techniques identify and explain all variances; Variance explanations must be to a detail that assists a developer in fixing the issue as well as be converted to a business language so that results can be communicated and understood by the business. Work with developers and QA on the resolution of any defects found during the validation effort. Liaise with and enable offshore team in a global delivery model to effectively execute the BSE project deliverables. Lead and provide support to offshore team for validation activities and own project delivery for entire team Provide appropriate status reporting and other information required to the customer Project Manager and other stakeholders Conduct knowledge sharing session with offshore team and enable offshore understanding of new requirements Document and share own learning from the project, seek information and leverage knowledge from other projects in order to drive higher efficiency and preserve organization knowledge Please Note: This description does not cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
Skills
Technical skills: ETL concepts, Netezza/NZ-SQL, PL-SQL, UNIX, Tidal Jobs (Or any scheduler) Tools: Toad, Quality Center, WinCVS Prior experience of Business Requirements walkthroughs Develop business requirement and drive them to closure Perform Data Analyst on a need basis Strong analytical skills and should be a quick learner Strong written and verbal communication Exposure to offshore-onshore delivery model Should be able to demonstrate good leadership qualities Knowledge on Project Management will be a plus Additional skills(Nice to have):
