Position; EMC Storage Admin

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Duration: 6 Months

 

Virtualization -                EMC Storage , Back up and restore             Should have strong domain knowledge in EMC Storage arrays, Brocade switches, Netapp filers and Symantec Netbackup. Have relevant experience in EMC storage and Symantec netbackup with VMware environment.

In-depth expertise and hands-on on below areas

Experience in Storage Administration and Management of Symmetrix DMX-1000, VMAX, EMC Clariion and EMC VNX Storage Arrays

Experience in NetApp 6240, 3240 Filers, EMC Celerra NAS Arrays and EMC Centerra Archival storage

Zoning, Administration and managing Brocade DCX Fabric Switches

Experience in configuring and managing Local replication tools - TimeFinder Clones/Snaps, BCVs

Configuring and Managing SRDF replication

Storage provisioning as per application requirement - creating metas, Raid Groups, zoning and LUN masking

Storage capacity monitoring and reporting

Experience in storage performance monitoring and reporting

Mange, configure and troubleshoot storage for Mainframe Z-Linux

Documenting and updating SAN architecture and configuration details

Support Disaster Recovery exercises and events

Storage Array migration and refresh

Provision and Manage virtualized Storage

Proficiency in Tools like – EMC Solutions Enabler Symcli, EMC Control Center, Navisphere Manager, EMC Unisphere, Data Center Fabric Manager etc.

Experience in Symantec Netbackup backup and restore

Experience in Administration and management of Falconstor VTLs and Tape Libraries

Configure and Manage Netbackup Master and Media servers

Configuring and Scheduling Backup policies

Troubleshooting and resolving Backup and restore incidents

Tape media management and Offsite Vaulting

Maintaining a Supply of Scratch Volumes in an Automated Libraries

Experience with Netbackup agents for DB Oracle/DB2/SQL etc.

Support for Disaster Recovery process

Documenting and updating Backup architecture and configuration details

Knowledge on data deduplication

Reporting on Backup success/Failures, Data backed up, tape media used etc.

Incident, Change and Vendor management

Independently generates solutions based on analytical, technical skills and business knowledge

Ability to quickly analyze & diagnose technical problems

Good Communication(Oral & Written) skills is essential

Mentoring, talent management and recruitment, knowledge management

Good understanding of L2/L3 support activities in technologies like SAN and Backup & Restore

Experience in designing and architecting SAN & Backup solutions

Deep knowledge and practice in ITIL V3 processes           8+ years
