The chosen candidate will help out client build their data warehouse from the ground up. This is a very high-level, highly visible project that the candidate will play an integral role in.

 

This person will be responsible for ensuring that the Teradata Enterprise Information Warehouse platform is up and running and in compliance. This person will also work close with ETL and BI teams to ensure the reports and jobs developed are tuned appropriately for Teradata. They will also:

·         Administer security within the Teradata database

·         Provide Teradata expertise to development team members with particular regard to performance tuning

·         Work with Data Modelers and Architects to make recommendations for indexing in physical models

·         Monitor and administer the Teradata Backups

 

To be qualified, candidates should have:

·         Knowledge of Teradata Workload Manager, TASM, and Priority Scheduler

·         Knowledge of the various Teradata indexes and their uses

·         Familiarity with Teradata multi-valued compression

·         Knowledge of Teradata 13.10 as a minimum (14 is a plus)

·         Understanding of the Teradata Appliance Backup utility
