Job Title: Sr. Server Engineer
Duration 3+ Months
Location:Boston, MA
Sr. Server Engineer to join our team in Medford, MA.
Breadth of technical knowledge is expected to encompass familiarity with all infrastructure systems implemented at our clients and expertise in two or more areas of specialization. Many of our managed services clients run in Production "7x24" (7 days, 24 hours/day); therefore, periodically, on-call duty for 7x24 support is required.
Minimum Requirements:
* 6 years of progressively responsible experience demonstrating working knowledge of Windows Server 2003 – 2008 R2, Active Directory, and VMware ESXi 3.x – 5.x
* Demonstrated ability to learn new hardware and software in a short timeframe
* Demonstrated ability to apply problem analysis/resolution techniques and engineering design capability
* Demonstrated proficiency in the application of technical knowledge to solve IT infrastructure related business problems
* Good understanding of ITIL processes and procedures
* Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to multitask and reprioritize
* Good reputation and relationship with users and clients
* Ability to tutor/teach users of varying skill levels
* Thorough and detail oriented
* Ability to innovate according to client needs
Preferred Requirements:
* Experience demonstrating working knowledge of SAN technologies including EMC and NetApp
* Experience with NetBackup software
* Previous consulting experience
