Skills:

. Contribute to maintaining for the overall system architecture for IRIS (Informatics Reporting Information System) which relies heavily on SAS (9.1.3/9.2)
. Schedules/Automates reporting processes using metadata and reusable data structures and components.
. Facilitates the creation advanced/complex SAS MACRO-based processes that are well suited for automation and re-use.
. Responsible for performance tuning of queries.
. Designs/develops reusable data structures using standard and dimensional modeling techniques. 
. Troubleshoots production issues; identify root cause(s); and drive activities needed to resolve the issues.
. Manages the planning, development, testing, implementation and support of the reporting systems and technologies.
. Ensures the development of system documentation, including appropriate policies and procedures for each assigned project.
. Ensures the appropriate level of assessment, determination and documentation of customer requirements for assigned projects and initiatives.
. Maintains knowledge of existing network and applications including new products and technologies that support the Informatics reporting area.  Proactively shares this information with others.
. Optimizes technology in the reporting environment for Alere; provides proactive leadership in this area.
