Job Title: Lead Ruby on Rails(RoR) Developer

Location: Chicago downtown, Chicago, IL

Duration: 6 months, extension based on review. Actual project duration 1-2 years.

Rate: Best-Market

Interview Process: Usually 2 telephonic interviews, but depends on 1^st interview

 

Main Duties of the Jobholders:

 

§  Expertise in Programming and Developing in Ruby on Rails

§  Analyzing requirements, reviewing program/applications, estimating and correcting errors.

§  Requires a  thorough Understanding and experience in Design Patterns and developing coding frameworks. 

• Expertise in Unit testing
• Adherence to coding standards
• Experience in Integration Development Environment(IDE), version control system,Apps / web servers
• Understanding and contributing in software designing
• Mentoring Software developers
• Appraising  performance, stability and operation of the app
• Should possess Team level coordination skills,managerial ability to lead and guide team of programmers & application developers.
• Excellent Client Interaction and Interpersonal skills with good analytical and problem solving skills.

 

 

Mandatory Skill/s:

·         Ruby On Rails, mySQL (database), shell scripting,  Design Patterns

·         SVN, deployment experience Aapache/Tomcat web servers, Hudson for continuous integration, experience on Test Driven Development, behavior Driven Development

 

Experience :

·         Technical hands-on on Ruby On Rails for minimum of 3  years (in case of prior experience in java or other technology)

·         Prior experience as RoR Lead

 

Nice to have Skill/s:

·         Retail Exposure, agile  methodology

 

Experience: 5-7 years

Minimum Education: BE/B Tech/MCA

Travel Requirements: May require in future
