Main focus on developing stored procedures and designing database schemas, but should fully understand the ins-and-outs of Sybase ASE 15. Must have experience on large, high volume, high performance systems.

 

• 10 + years of experience in Sybase
• Senior Sybase developer/DBA responsible for supporting the production system and the development efforts of the application development team.
• Key member of the development team, responsible for key database development tasks and for ensuring all database development meets best practice standards
• Responsible for reviewing incoming changes and participating in high level design sessions.
• Participate in creation and review of system technical design specs for projects/releases.
• Database Performance and fine tuning experience
• Provide technical direction, support and mentorship to development team. Hands on development as necessary.
• Assist with deployment of code to non-production and production environments.
• Assist with Technology / Infrastructure related projects, including annual DR test, hardware refreshes, new software implementation
• Experience with Sybase Replication Server
• Experience in UNIX shell scripting
• Experience in job scheduling tool like Control-M and Crontab
