Must Have Skills:
Industry experience with access technologies like EFM/Fiber/T1 is a must.
Strong facilitation skills required, including setting expectations, controlling and managing to the agenda, managing audience participation and resolving conflict.
Desired Skills:
Industry experience on Telephony and VoIP technologies a plus
Project Details:
The Senior IT Business Analyst ("BA") elicits business requirements, documents functional and non-functional requirements, and obtains stakeholder approval of the requirements artifact. Additionally, the BA will perform the role of IT point of contact for the projects and/or change requests for which they are responsible.
Job Roles / Responsibilities:
Perform business analyst functions for the operational support systems.
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, and business process analysis.
Facilitate JRP sessions and requirement review sessions following standard requirements methodology.
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to analyze needs and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Business Scenarios, Business Process flows, and functional/non-functional requirements
Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow.
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
Evaluate new project and enhancement requests from business partners to determine high level solution and system impacts.
Comments (if any): Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Information Technology degree or equivalent expertise and industry experience.
Minimum 3-4 years of experience
experience with access technologies like EFM/Fiber/T1 is a must
Strong facilitation skills required, including setting expectations, controlling and managing to the agenda, managing audience participation and resolving conflict.
Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Self starter who can work effectively independently as well as in a cross functional team environment
Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously, managing customer expectations and priorities.
Strong organizational skills a must
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Telephony and VoIP technologies a plus.
