Position: Business Analyst

Location: NYC

Duration: 6 Months

 

BA, Data Analysis with SQL and Banking experience

Prefer Banking – Cash Management and/or Trade Finance domain experience

 

REPORTS TO:     

¨       Head of Agile IT team

RESPONSIBILITIES / JOB OVERVIEW :

¨       Interact with stakeholders to understand the requirements.

 ¨       Document Business Requirements & Functional specifications.

 ¨       Perform data analysis, data mining and data extraction/validation.

 ¨       Competently utilize SQL / write SQL queries in support of functional analysis and issue resolution

 ¨       Manage changes to baseline requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools.

 ¨       Develop adhoc reports and dashboards by following the best practice and conventions in place at client

 ¨       Consistently deliver high quality services to internal users/clients at all levels

 ¨       Participate in various testing cycles; provide support to the end user / client. .

 ¨       Organize the User Acceptance test and obtain the User Sign Off.

 ¨       Analyze functional requirements, then propose reporting solutions to them based on client standard systems and perform workload and risk analysis related to these solutions.

 ¨       Participate in user trainings.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

¨       Strong Business Analyst skills (Banking knowledge – Cash Management / Payments  preferred;  Loans and Trade Finance a plus) to be able to understand business requirements, needs and priorities.

¨       Strong SQL Query skills with a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience.

¨       Ability to work with large databases, data warehouses and universes with numerous objects of different types, setting up complex formulas, and creating reports with specific layouts.

¨       Business objects / Excel / VBA  knowledge is a plus.

¨       A very good team player and to be able to work quickly and independently.

¨       Good English verbal and writing communication skills: Be able to communicate with team mates, users and managers easily.

¨       Excellent technical documentation skills
