Job Title: Cognos 10 Lead Developer

Location: Detroit, MI

Duration: 6 Months+

Skills:

A minimum of 5 years of related experience developing Cognos reports and cubes •          Cognos 10 and Oracle 10g Data Warehousing experience •          Extensive experience in Data modeling using Framework Manager •          Dynamic cubes •          Extensive experience on Transformer Models for corporate data for building Multidimensional Cubes. •          Designed dashboards based on power cubes, Relational and Dimensional Modeling. •          Experience with Cognos upgrade from Cognos 8.3/8.4 to Cognos 10/10.1/10.1.1/10.2 •          Performs analysis that is diverse and very complex and works independently under general direction (i.e. writing queries) •          Ability to provide subject matter expertise on Cognos  development  •          Ability to work on more than one Cognos project at a time •          Knowledge and experience in Data Warehousing (ETL, Data Analysis, etc.) concepts •          MUST HAVE exceptional SQL capabilities using SQL Developer or Toad. SQL competency will be tested during interview •          MUST HAVE strong communication and documentation skills using PowerPoint, Excel and Visio •          MUST HAVE strong development backing in Cognos 10.x.; Candidate should be able to describe best practices in Cognos development •          Good understanding on testing principles, concepts and tools  •          Experience with Defect Tracking tools •          Experience with writing test documentation (plans, unit test cases, status report), executing test cases and identifying defects
