Acts in the highest level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complexcomputer applications and/or application initiatives. Utilizes a thorough
understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs. Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors. Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs, coding, and testing. Leads most complex multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts. Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process.: 10+ years application development and implementation experience.
Additional Job Details:
This position is responsible for the technical oversight, advisement, implementation, and quality control of assigned Data Management projects.Along with technical proficiency working with systems employing the Unix OS, including IBM/AIX and knowledge of very large relational database environments and SQL language database programming , knowledge of Data Warehousing and Data Mart architectures, concepts, and processes is required.Detailed knowledge of Extract Transform and Load (ETL) procedures, technologies, and techniques is also prerequisite.Technical leads typically develop technical approaches and ensure that proper Data Management guidelines and standards are followed on assigned projects.Technical leads can also be responsible for developing ETL code, working with production support team members on various configuration items related to file processing and delivery and leading other technical resources on assigned projects. projects and managing the assigned resources within the context of the assigned project.To that end, Project basic leadership, planning, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, complete the requirements for success in this demanding position.
Basic Skills:
Relational Database design and development
Data warehouse architecture and design
Batch systems and processing
ETL architecture/design and development experience with Informatica Power Center
Strong SQL Skills.
C++ Development experience a plus.
Unix – General Environment and shell scripting
File transfer protocols including NDM and FTP
Experience working with Offshore Development Teams
