Job Title: Datastage ETL Developer
Location: Albany NY
Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Rate: $45 - 50/hr on C-C

 

*** Must have Exp with Oil & Gas Industry domain ***

 

Responsibilities:
• Design data integration/ETL jobs using IBM DataStage and its foundation tools
• Maintain, enhance, and optimize DataStage jobs
• Troubleshoot application issues including components such as DataStage/QualityStage and other foundation tools
• Provide application performance monitoring and tuning for improvements
• Develop and implement standards for ETL processes using DataStage
• Prepare capacity/storage projection
• Independently research, escalate, and resolve support issues.
• Ensure that the system design is aligned with the business requirements through appropriate documentation and requirements mapping

 

Skills Need:
• Must have at least 8+ years of professional IT work experience.
• Oil and gas industry domain expertise/knowledge is highly preferred
• Must have at least 4+ years of experience with IBM Data Stage 8.x/7.x parallel module of IBM Information Server in particular and IBM's Information on Demand strategy in general
• Must have at least 5+ years of experience with different flavors of RDBMS (Sql server, Oracle, DB2, etc.)
• Must have at least 5+ years of strong experience in coding using SQL, procedures, functions and triggers
• Must have at least 2+ years of experience in Unix/Linux shell scripting.
• Must have at least 2+ years of working experience in agile development practices
• Must have at least Excellent and Articulate communication skills are a must. Being able to easily identify and discuss with all team members any development needs or recommended approaches is critical.
• BS in CS, IS, Engineering or Mathematics.
