Job Title: Software Configuration management
Location: Portland,OR
Duration:12-18 months

 

Rate :$50-55/hr on C2C.
EAD GC, GC AND US Citizen.

 

Years of Experience & Expertise Level:
5-8 years of hands-on experience with Linux operating systems and working knowledge of Linux/Windows installation: Setup and administration as well as some development, scripting, and component building.

 

Project Description:
MIC Software Configuration management and installation.

Daily Responsibilities: The primary focus will be on providing SCM Administration to Development teams with emphasis on version control and automation systems in a multi-sited, cross

platform Development environment. Assist in SW Build and Release Management; includes build system automation, nightly builds, build replication and release process m! anagement.

Work with the development teams to identify and root cause constraints and implement process improvements related to these areas of responsibility. Provide automated scripted solutions

for both Linux and Windows environments where appropriate. Support includes monitoring of help requests to resolve developer issues regarding supported tools and processes.

 

Necessary Skills (Must Have):
Strong Python and shell scripting skills
Strong Linux/Windows administration and installation skills
Strong communication skills
Experience working with code patches and building with Linux make files
Understand Linux Packaging (RPM) and the build relationships between Linux software packages and their target environments
 
Additional Skills Desired (Nice to Have):
Basic understanding of software SCM practices.
Experience with tools for source control, automated build, code review, testing
Git experience highly desired
