Our Client in Orlando, FL is looking for a Java Developer who has worked in a Maximo environment.
Again, this is NOT a regular Java position. Please please do NOT send me Java candidates without Maximo background.
This is for a 6-12 months' Contract for a Major Entertainment Company. Ok with non-local and may hire over the phone.
Here is the job description:
Work closely with business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
Actively participate in development projects as well as on application sustainment teams.
Individuals will work with our business partners and will participate in the designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting of applications in accordance to the ITIL Service Lifecycle.
Assist in coordinating the efforts of supplier teams when needed to develop or sustain the application environment. Lead the estimation effort for assigned development tasks, assist in estimating level of effort for less senior level developers.
Apply company policies and procedures to resolve complex issues. Lead the development effort resulting in well structured, easily maintained program code. Prepares and review documentation of developed programs and processes.
Ensure work is delivered on schedule and on budget. Meet all established policies and procedures within the GBTS and corporate environment for the assigned projects.
Perform code reviews to ensure all deliverables are of the highest quality.
Prepare and review estimates for tasks and projects.
Prepare test scripts, and conduct all applicable tests for multiple projects, coordinating across multiple areas.
Minimum 6 years relevant experience. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Position may require period on-call support duties.
- Must have recent development / support experience in Maximo version 6.2 and/or 7.1 or higher.
- Must have 5+ years Java development / support experience, primarily in the context of Maximo.
– 5+ years experience in integrating other applications or systems with Maximo is desired.
- 3+ years experience in software development based upon Oracle database system is preferred.
This includes proficiency in Oracle SQL development and use. Other relational database experience is acceptable.
