Java Developer
Location: Detroit MI
Duration: 12 Months+
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
• Working independently within guidelines, reviews, analyzes, and evaluates specific new and emerging technologies, platforms and services.
• Plays a key role in the assessment of technical viability of new products and technologies.
• Investigates technological alternatives and recommends direction.
• Participates in developing business cases and obtaining approvals for capital expenditures for technological advances and improvements.
• Analyzes proposed and actual projects in terms of feasibility, approach and adherence to technical specifications and direction and environmental requirements.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Qualifications:
• -7 years minimum hands on development experience working in JAVA/J2EE, JSP, Struts using WAS 6.0/6.1/7.0, RAD, PVCS
• -Experienced implementing Web Services components
• -Excellent design documentation skill with attention to design artifacts e.g. Use Cases and Elaboration artifacts like Class Diagrams, Sequence diagrams etc.
• -Experience with SDLC Project methodology e.g. waterfall and RUP
• -Experience in XML-based messaging; MQ or web services connectivity
• -Must have good communication skills
• -Demonstrated expertise in supporting large-scale projects.
• -Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
