Position: Data Modeler

Location: Framingham, MA

Duration: 6 Months

 

MUST HAVES: 1.)MUST HAVE 5)+ years of Data Modelering experience 2.)MUST HAVE experience with ERwin suite 3.) MUST HAVE hands on experience creating data marts, physical, logical, and conceptual data models
Job Description:		CGI's client, Tufts Health Plan a major Healthcare Insurance client is in search of a data modeler to join their team. The reason for the need is there is a ton of project work as they have recently created a new enterprise data warehouse. This data warehouse houses all kinds of payer data, and it is currently starting to pick up traction with the business as they are realizing they can use this data warehouse as a solution for their reporting needs and want to be able to park their data in that warehouse. A large project in which they are looking at is to identify a way to start to map dental data into that data warehouse. This person is going to be responsible for developing and maintaining conceptual and logical data models at an enterprise level, as well a maintaining the Enterprise Logical Data model, and linkages to other models.
Additional Information:		FROM THE MANAGER: o Develop the ODS and EDW logical data models, derived from the Enterprise LDM o Evaluate, select and implement data modeling tool o Institute a data modeling process using industry best practices o Collaborate on translation of logical models to physical models o Responsible for the governance and strategy for effective implementation of the logical data model
Work Environment:		This is a very fast paced enviorment, as CGI will have to face the demands of Tufts client base which is the business.
Interview Information:		90 minute Skype interview with the BI Architect with CGI.
Who is the Internal/External Customer:		The internal customer is Tufts Health Plan, the external customer is Tufts Health Plan business/as well as the participants.
Impact to the Internal/External Customer:		If they do not get this resource in, they will not be able to reach the demands from the business to take advantage of the data warehouse's fullest capacity.
Business Challenge:		This new enterprise data warehouse houses all kinds of payer data, and it is currently starting to pick up traction with the business as they are realizing they can use this data warehouse as a solution for their reporting needs and want to be able to park their data in that warehouse.
