Hi all, we are looking for a "Ruby on Rails Developer" position

 

Location: New York, NY
Length: 3 – 6 + months

Start: ASAP

The Platform Software Engineering team creates tools to power our clients' websites. Engineers on this team require a broad understanding of internet-based technologies. We customize and integrate existing software modules for the various platforms we support. Additionally, we integrate with third party vendor services. In our attempt to keep our platform competitive and accommodate the needs of our clients, we support a number of technology stacks and components. The key technology areas software engineers on the platform team need to have experience with are:

- Ruby (MRI & JRuby, version 1.9.x)
- Rails (version 3.x)
- Javascript
- MySQL (or comparable RDBMS)
- NoSQL (Redis or MongoDB) knowledge is a plus but needed

The engineering team embraces agile practices. We bring a pragmatic approach to these practices, and we firmly believe that by following them we create better, more reliable software. Experience with test-driven development, pair programming, code review, and continuous integration is important.
