Job Title: Performance Engineer
Location: McLean, VA or Norfolk, VA
Duration: 6+months

 

EAD GC,GC AND US Citizen.

 

The manager is looking for 5-6 years of experience with performance testing applications. They need to have experience administering and testing using HP Performance Center 11.x. Also, need experience with LoadRunner. They need to be able to write load scripts. The ability to manipulate load scripts is preferred. They should have experience with a monitoring tool; Splunk is preferred. Dependent on which project they get assigned, they may need to work off hours as needed.

 

Requirements:
5+ years of performance testing experience in a high-tech environment.
Extensive administration / testing experience using HP Performance Center 11.x.
Experience utilizing LoadRunner.
Must have basic knowledge of C / C++ / J2EE programming or Perl scripting for Unix or Linux operating systems in order to write scripts. Advanced programming skills for manipulating scripts is a strong plus.
Experience with a monitoring tool ( Splunk is preferred ).
The right blend of technical and business analysis skills to ensure successful implementations.
Understanding of various front end application architectures and the tier to tier communications.
Measurement points of various systems and metrics for analysis of issues and risk.
Thorough understanding of distributed systems, Internet principles and statistical data analysis.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment that could require some long hours.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
